Your mind · Step 6 of 6

Start with what you already have.

You do not need to become someone else before you can give.

The mind says purpose lies somewhere ahead: the next role, the next version of you. So today becomes a waiting room. What if the starting point is not what you have yet to become?

Begin with what you already know, what you can already do, the people already in your life and what you have already learned. Give from there.

Purpose is not only something you discover in the future. It is something you express in the way you live today. When you give, notice whether the mind asks what you got in return. If it does, observe it. You have not failed. You have found the next part of the practice.

One question

What can I offer today from the life I have actually lived, rather than from the person I think I still need to become?

One action today

Make one meaningful contribution today. Before you begin, notice your intention. When you finish, notice whether the mind asks what you got in return.

Carry this

I do not need to become someone else before I can give.

One action in a day is a win. Do not do the whole path in a day.
